Voltaren Gel is a topical gel that is used to treat pain in adults and children aged 3 months and over. The active ingredient diclofenac sodium, which works by reducing the pain of headache, toothache, backache, and menstrual cramps, has been used to relieve pain for many years. This topical gel was developed by researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Hyderabad. The research team examined the efficacy of Voltaren Gel for the relief of pain in people with chronic headaches.
The gel was applied to a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, parallel-group trial. All patients were aged 3 months to 12 years. Patients who received Voltaren Gel were prescribed a daily dose of 50 mg/g of diclofenac sodium for pain relief for a total of 14 days. Patients who did not receive Voltaren Gel were given a placebo gel as an alternate treatment for pain relief. The study participants were also given a placebo gel twice a day for 7 days. The study participants were followed up for a period of 28 days after the end of the study.
The researchers found that Voltaren Gel was more effective than placebo gel in reducing the pain intensity in people with chronic headaches.
Researchers also noted that the gel had a better pain relief effect for people with headaches than placebo gel. They stated that the gel was well tolerated by the participants. However, participants were not advised to use it at any time, as the effect on pain is not felt until the end of the study.

Inform your doctor if you have any medical conditions, take any medications, or are pregnant or plan to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
Use Voltaren Osteo Gel as advised by your doctor. If you see the best results with Voltaren Osteo Gel, do it too soon or it will not work as well.
